Scoundrels of Wall Street

Join us for a fascinating tour of Wall Street and get to know the famous Scandals & Scoundrels of Wall Street!

We kick off the afternoon with a guided tour of the Museum of American Finance exhibit "Scandal! Financial Crime, Chicanery and Corruption that Rocked America".

We then continue with a Scoundrels walking tour to meet Wall Street's astute and successful businessmen, workaholics, great philanthropists and also most famous Scoundrels. Many of them crafted financial devices and strategies, to leverage existing laws in stunningly original ways.

Get introduced to William Duer, insider trader and friend of financial icon, Alexander Hamilton. From there you'll become acquainted with the most famous robber barons of the Gilded Age: Jim Fisk, Jay Gould and Daniel Drew. Some of these fellows' actions required intervention by President Ulysses S Grant, a timely parallel indeed!

Then it is on to modern Wall Street which as we know has been shaken by Enron, WorldCom, accounting scandals, and most recently by Bernie Madoff (need we say more?).
